Happy Thanksgiving!

No homework assigned for the weekend.

Most children now have the ability to begin their online blogs. They can log in and choose a "New Post", and after writing their first blog, and checking it for spelling and punctuation, they can click on "Submit". That post and any subsequent comments can be viewed by anyone, so that is why care is needed to ensure their writing is of the highest quality. To ensure their blog is a safe place to write, all of the children's posts and all comments must first get my approval before they appear online. By clicking the "Submit" button, I get notification that a post or comment is pending, and I'll then read each and every one before approving or denying. If approved, the post or any subsequent comments appear online instantly.

Head over to http://kidblog.org/MrClarkesClass/ and look for our students' first blogs!

By the way, student picture order forms were to go home with students today. As I sit at the classroom computer now, I can see no fewer than 5 order forms that got left behind, and that's without even getting up out of my chair. The deadline for ordering photos is a week: Friday 14 October. If an order form didn't make it home to your household, you might want to put a note in your child's agenda as a reminder. Tuesday (the next day school is in session) is a long way off for young minds!

Enjoy family and friends this weekend, and let's count our blessings.
