No new homework today.

FYI:  Intramural basketball for Gr 6s is getting organized now. Cross Country running (open to Gr. 3 – 7) is also starting up now, with the first meet scheduled for next Wednesday.

Look for uploaded video from today's paper blogging sessions. Students have written paper versions of a blog ("web log"), about a topic they are interested in, and have learned proper etiquette when it comes to commenting on someone else's work.

Wednesday 28 September

1)  Great day for a Terry Fox run! Our class did great… even the walking wounded completed the circuit! Ask the children who got back inside the class first. Answer: Mr. Clarke. Of course.

2) In Health and Career we are talking about taking charge of your own life. That discussion dovetailed perfectly with a school-wide presentation we attended this morning on how we generate garbage, and how we can take charge to reduce, reuse and recycle. For inspiration I used a quote from Reinhold Niebuhr. You might ask your child if they can recite it.

3) Although we did no new math today with so many interruptions to our day, I did announce that our math quiz this week will be on Friday.
