Gr. 5: 5 practice questions (M) Reminder:
Science fair projects should be just about finished by today so students can turn their attention to:
1) Doing background research on their topic.
2) Writing up their topic.
3) Writing a 3-minute speech about their project.
4) Practicing their speech out loud and memorizing it.
5) Laying out the design and completing the 3-panel display board. As you can see, most students should have their model or demonstration or experiment finished by today so they have time to focus on the other elements of their science fair project. Similarly, I am assigning very little homework so students won't be overwhelmed by the workload. The science fair 3-panel displays and the separate write-ups are both due Friday 11 February 2011. The in-class presentations (3-minute speeches) will be heard over two days: Monday/Tuesday February 14/15. Wednesday 16 February is the day when all the Intermediate classes will be sharing their projects with each other, and that night parents and students are invited back to school for a group viewing/sharing.
