Poetry continues. Students should be working on improving their first draft into a polished poem.

1)  Times tables should continue with a selected times table (for example, the 6 times table) practiced for a week or as long as it takes to reach mastery. Mastery means they could do all the 6 times tables from 6 x 0 to 6 x 10 in random order with no mistakes allowing about 2 seconds maximum per question. Once mastery is achieved, your child should choose a different times table to select and learn the following week. After 3 to 4 weeks, a mini review should be done at home incorporating all the times tables learned during that period, in random order.

-we are almost finished our unit on division; there will be a division quiz next week based on unit 3 ("Multiplying and Dividing Whole Numbers") in the math text book.

Students need to have ideas on paper for what would be required in a Biosphere… a self-contained, sealed-off-from-the-world environment where, after the doors are closed, nothing can be brought in except  sunshine.
